Data monitoring and analytics on digital rights

Our technology performs Data Mining on Social Media, Web News and Specialized Forums, processes the resulting information through Machine Learning with Deep Language Analysis Models and detects potential evidence related to Digital Rights. The end user can therefore measure the impact on citizens of aspects related to digital rights, know their temporal evolution, see the exposure of topics related to digital rights on web media and obtain sentiment and associated emotion analytics. The Digitrack dashboard shows statistics based on these analyses.

Data Mining

1

We obtain data related to digital rights from multiple sources, including social media, multiple media and specialized forums. For this, Digitrack incorporates advanced technology from Information Retrieval (filtering information, focused tracking, etc).

Natural Language Analysis

2

Digitrack is based on advanced language models for information collection, thematic classification and organization of results

Data Analysis

3

The web evidence extracted by Digitrack can be presented and organized in multiple ways, to obtain temporal trends, sentiment estimation and emotion extraction.

Exploitation

4

Digitrack is made available to the general public. It can be exploited by domain experts to understand the evolution of digital rights concerns in certain segments of the population, analyze the exposure and coverage of relevant topics on the web, or by researchers interested in collecting and analyzing their own data collections.

Technologies

We used some of the best technologies available both for natural language processing and for the full-stack application ensuring quality detection, speed and the best user experience.

  • Front-end: React, TailwindCSS, Shadcn/ui, and Tremor.
  • Back-end: Next.js, Python and Pandas.
  • Natural Language Processing:
We use Large Language Models, performing the corresponding adaptations to the domain of digital rights.
  • Search Technologies:
We use state-of-the-art tools for tracking, content indexing and information retrieval.

Digitrack is a project developed in the context of the agreement signed between Red.es and a series of national institutions (universities, foundations and professional associations among others) for the promotion of a Digital Rights Observatory. This digital rights monitoring platform supports objective 13 of the aforementioned agreement (measuring impact on digital citizenship rights).

This project has been developed during the period 2024-2026 at the Singular Research Center in Intelligent Technologies (CiTIUS) of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
